Finding New Soap Molds/Moulds

Posted by scentsthatmatter in April 10, 2010

I see it spelled both ways.  I don’t know which is right or if they are both right.  But which ever it is I went to the dollar store and found these great little containers.  They hold exactly 2.5 pounds of soap.  So, as I experiment with different recipes I am not wasting a lot of product when I find I don’t care for the ingredient combination or a scent doesn’t work or a color morphs.

I used this new container and rubbed olive oil around the sides.  When it came time to take it out of the mold I pressed on the bottom just like I do with the molds I use for melt and pour.  It popped right out and looks great.  It is a little softer than I would like.  I will let the next batch sit in the container for a couple of days before trying to remove it.
